Industry led insights

The Roadmarking Industry Association of Australia (RIAA) has partnered with RSDH to develop and deliver this workshop.  This means that you will have access to the latest information and industry capabilities. You will also have access to a member from the RIAA technical committee during the workshop.

Workshop overview

The Roadmarking Industry Association of Australia (RIAA) is providing this workshop to empower road managers and contractors to make informed decisions about pavement and line marking material selection, application, monitoring and maintenance.    Attendees will gain insights into the complexities of the pavement and line marking task and be provided with an overview of the key considerations when procuring line marking services and managing reflectivity network performance.  The learning outcomes of this workshop are suited for technical and engineering staff at junior to senior leadership levels.

Learning outcomes

LO 1      Retroreflectivity in dry and wet conditions. LO 2      Australian Standard daytime and nighttime performance requirements. LO 3      Australian Standard Skid resistance requirements. LO 4      Paint product options, system components and application techniques. LO 5      Paint application requirements (temperature, moisture, dry time, traffic control). LO 6      Paint product and applicator qualification and approval requirements. LO 7      Understanding premature failures. LO 8      Australian Standard retro-reflectivity and skid resistance performance monitoring requirements, techniques and data collection options. LO 9      Data-based maintenance scheduling techniques to reduce expenditure, ensure Australian Standard compliance and reduce crash risk.
